EMPOWERING. STRENGTHENING. SUPPORTIVE. These are just a few of the words that best describe the experience women who are breast cancer survivors exclaim while rowing with the Survivor Rowing program at the Saugatuck Rowing Club!

The Breast Leadership Team, Jeanne Capasse, MD, Richard Zelkowitz, MD, Mia Gorovoy, MD, George Zahrah, MD, Mandy Greenberg, MD, Diana Donovan, NP, Site Director, Mary Heery, APRN and Zarek Mena, OPN, at the Smilow Family Health Center at Norwalk Hospital are proud to continue to partner with the Saugatuck Rowing Club in support of the SurviveOars rowing program. Since the inception of the program in January 2018, women come out to row to increase their long time survivorship with this great way to exercise.  They have a bond that empowers them to reach new levels of strength.  The rowers, under Diana Kuen’s enthusiastic leadership are learning, racing and ready to go to the next level!

The Breast Center is only able to bring ideas to life with the support of the community. We are so grateful to the Saugatuck Rowing Club for their commitment to our patients.

We thank the SRC for partnering with us to improve the lives of our breast cancer community.
